App Spotlight: “Sweat” by Kayla Itsines

That stomach was enough to motivate me to try out her app, appropriately named “Sweat”.

What I LOVE about this app:

  • You sweat! My sis and I did a full-body resistance workout from the app this morning, and we were both drenched afterwards. And you know what they say about sweat being your fat crying… 😉

  • You can do these workouts at home, at the gym, or even outdoors. Minimal equipment is required and everything is timed.
  • For each resistance workout (3 per week) you do 2 circuits of 4 moves each. Each circuit is timed 7 minutes. No guesswork, just follow the app.
  • You can show up at the gym and not feel lost trying to think of what to do.

  • There are HIIT days (high intensity interval training) and LISS days (low intensity steady state). So if I want to jog for 40 minutes I would count that as a LISS workout.

  • The meal plan! You can’t out work bad eating habits. Luckily Kayla Itsines’ app has you covered. Daily meal plans, shopping lists for the week, and recipes.

  • A tracking system for your results. I don’t know about you, but I get motivated by seeing progress.
