Day 10: My Whole 30 Journal

Larabars are my new “candy bars”. I’m not sure if this is a bad habit that I should try to kick or not, but every time I want something comforting I reach for a Larabar.

This just goes to show how emotional of an eater I am. Certain foods bring me comfort. I suppose Larabars are a lesser evil as they are Whole 30 approved (at least the flavor a I eat).

My second go-to sweetness is fruit. This is ideal, but I feel like I’m abusing it sometimes because I eat tons of fruit. More than I should I’m sure. This is making me think maybe I’ve been addicted to sugar and my body is freaking out, or maybe there’s an underlying sugar craving related problem I need to fix.

For lunch I did manage to get some veggies and protein by getting another “Fork Style” salad from the Pita Pit.

I found an article last night from the Whole30 website about the timeline of the Whole30 and what to expect. It turns out that the funk I’ve been in these last fees days is completely normal. In fact, the majority of people that quit the Whole 30 quit around day 10 or 11. Stay strong Anne, stay strong!

Dinner was grilled salmon and sautéed vegetables, and dessert was applesauce with cinnamon. Not too shabby.
