    Audrey Anderson has just been dumped by her boyfriend for being “boring.” When her desperate attempts to get him back don’t work, she seriously re-evaluates her life in Montana. Fueled by alcohol and a Facebook message from a high school acquaintance in Honolulu who needs a roommate, Audrey decides to take drastic measures and spontaneously buys a one-way ticket to Hawaii. If this doesn’t prove she’s exciting, she’s not sure what will.

Shortly after arriving on Oahu, she meets not one, but two handsome and wealthy men. Duke is a surfer and Hudson is Hollywood’s it-guy. With two men vying for her affections, Audrey learns that flirting is the perfect way to take her mind off the ex…

What a fun and exciting Hawaiian get away. This story had me laughing from the get go and kept my interest on every page. The adventure took off quickly and unraveled in many unseen directions. I truly enjoyed the romance and got a kick out of the humor. It’s the kind of story that makes you want to get off the couch, dye your hair a crazy color, and set out to see the world. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

The title of this might make you think Getting Lei’d is a certain kind of book, but there’s more than one kind of “lei”, especially when the setting is Hawaii. This is a sweet and cute story about a young woman living in Montana who makes a spontaneous decision to move to Hawaii as a way of proving to herself that she’s not boring, like her ex claims. She has adventures, meets a couple of guys who may or may not be Mr. Right, and figures herself out while enjoying sunshine, cocktails and palm trees. Recommended for those who like chick lit with a few chuckles and some light romance.
